We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to take ownership of designing, implementing, and overseeing secure and efficient network infrastructures within the financial services industry. The role focuses on optimizing performance, ensuring availability, and driving innovation in network architecture and security.
You will work closely with internal and external IT teams, vendors, and partners to guide the integration of IT applications into existing network environments. The position also involves contributing to the ongoing development of a Security by Design approach in alignment with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, PCI-DSS, and DORA. Strong communication skills are essential for translating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network and cloud infrastructures

Lead planning and execution of highly available and scalable network architectures

Continuously improve implemented network environments to ensure stable, uninterrupted operations

Collaborate with application owners and IT teams for seamless integration of network components

Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies

Conduct audits and assess network segmentation of key service providers

Evaluate and approve network change requests

Maintain and update network documentation
-
Own and enhance processes related to network operations

Define and evolve configuration standards

Support the implementation of network management tools

Research and evaluate new networking technologies and industry trends
Required Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor or equivalent)

Several years of experience in enterprise network architecture

Strong expertise in network security

Hands-on experience with vendors and tools such as Cisco, F5, Checkpoint, Forcepoint, Bluecoat, HP Networking, Fortinet, Tufin

Familiarity with ITIL and project management methodologies

Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written (C1)
